An eclectic array of heavy drum and bass sounds and samples ranging from both the new, contemporary drum and bass style we have become accustomed too, balanced well with a refreshing drum and bass approach of yester year. Break These Walls shows good pace and balance throughout bringing full throttle intense noise that would fit comfortably in any club environment aswell as a euphoric uplifting touch that makes it easy to listen to at home.
This Ep encapsulates Drumsound and Simon Bassline Smiths unique production skills, of continually and successfully fusing both the heavy and liquid sides of drum and bass together, by contrasting hard hitting basslines with melodic piano sounds.
This is a really top quality Ep for any drum and bass enthusiast and has been worth waiting for, my only negative would be that it has been too long a wait, in particular for the song Love The Music which I first heard over two years ago being promoted on the Drum And Bass Arena Podcast as part of the 10 Years Of Technique album. Why has it taken this long for Technique Recordings to release this? and why was there almost no information for so long about the release of this song via facebook or your website? As much as I like all the artists involved in Technique Recordings and admire the high production standards of the songs produced by the label the communication between label and listener needs to be improved especially when compared to other labels such as Hospital and Ram Records.
