iTunes Review

The Script's roots lay in dear old Dublin, but there's more than a touch Los Angeles sheen to the songs that populate the band’s self-titled debut. It's no casual observation. Members Danny O'Donoghue and Mark Sheehan spent time in the City of Angels working the production and engineering angle for American pop dynamos such as Teddy Riley, the Neptunes, and Rodney Jerkins. When the duo reconvened with drummer Glen Power back home, the Script was born. The resulting burst of creativity brought out singles such as "We Cry" and "The Man Who Can't Be Moved" — smooth soul numbers with rock overtones that brought the group near-instant success. The full-length debut has all the hallmarks of immediately accessible, soul-injected rock with glimmers of R&B that has made powerful forces out of bands like OneRepublic and Maroon 5.

The wait is finally over!

I've been waiting for this album to come out for months, and believe me it doesn't disappoint! Apart from the two main hit singles, The Man Who Can't Be Moved and We Cry, The Script's album is full of catchy and melodic tracks that will have you listening to them over and over for weeks. Each of the tracks have something individual and unique about them, unlike many bands where all of their songs just sound the same. My personal favourites are Before The Worst and Breakeven. You would be crazy not to download this!

Script take the biscuit but leave the toast.

An album full of awesome songs, however you only really need to buy one, as they are all pretty similar and you wouldn't be missing much. Unfortuntely the best of the album has already been publisised; 'we cry' and the brilliant 'the man who can't be moved' with the others not being quite up to the expectations. Though the others are good, they are a bit samey, still a good listen though and worth a buy, if you have lots of money. If not only buy 'we cry' and 'the man who can't be moved'

Amazing!!!! =]

Brilliant. I watched them live in march when they were surporting The Hoosiers in Bornemouth and was instantly hooked. The Script are my favourite band. This album is well worth buying!! =] The Man Who Can't Be Moved and The End Where I Begin are my favourite song of the album.

A self-described "Celtic soul" trio, the Script were founded by guitarist Mark Sheehan and vocalist Danny O'Donoghue in 2001. The two musicians had previously performed together in Mytown, an Irish-based boy band that enjoyed moderate success at home but failed to generate international acclaim. After the group disbanded, Sheehan and O'Donoghue spent several years in Los Angeles, where they worked as producers alongside the likes of Teddy Riley, the Neptunes, and Rodney Jerkins. They later relocated...
