iTunes Review

Having incinerated booths on the grime scene since the age of 17, few would have begrudged James Devlin a slight pop makeover on his debut album. So Bud, Sweat & Beers is all the more impressive for its hard-edged authenticity. “Marching Through the Fog” is a spit-flecked show-stopper (“I’ve got bars harder than Arnold’s arm is”), and “Let It Go”—assisted by Labrinth—sees Devlin concoct a mega-anthem on his own uncompromising terms.

The Next Big Star?

I'm not a particular fan of rap. However this is something new, a breath of fresh air. Devlin's most complete album to date he's an up and coming star and one of the people at the top of the future of rap.

Their aren't any tracks that seem out of place which is good and bad. Top tracks: Brainwashed, Marching through the fog, our father, Runaway, world still turns, I Made It (Bonus Track) and the beautiful track that is London City.

If your foolish enough not to buy the whole album then the tracks I have just listed are essential. So yeah give "Bud, Swear & Beers" a go as it really is worth it.
