Blink 182 - buddha

A truly magnificant album! Its when you come back and listen to one of their old albums like this that you realise their true style. .... Classic!

The Worst Blink Album

Yes, sadly in any career for musicians there are high points and low points. This album isn't great, but not particularly bad. The different versions of the songs off Cheshire Cat generally aren't as good as the originals (excluding TV and Toast And Bananas). The only good different songs are Reebok Commercial and The Girl Next Door. Generally the other songs here are too short or just fairly boring. The good songs here include: Carousel, Romeo And Rebecca, Reebok Commercial, Toast And Bananas and The Girl Next Door. Otherwise the songs generally bob around the 3 star region.

Good As Money

This album is pretty good, fairly basic, some would say generic, but when you think about it bands like this changed the course of punk and albums such as this would have inspired blink amoungst other bands to take it to the next level. This album is as far as i know is the earlyest mass produced album from the band released years after it was recorded, remastered from a tape with a picture of a buddha on it that the found in a studio. This is why the songs are pretty poor. An essentual for any blink fan however as it shows the roots of what was to come. I myself like the buddha versions of songs also featured on cheshire cat album a little bit better as they are more raw and less rehearsed. Generally a good album, not for everyone, fans of the later blink-182, more poppy bands and/or grumpy people may disaprove!

California trio blink-182 were the most popular band to emerge from the post-Green Day mainstream explosion of pop-punk. At a time when competition with teen pop and nu-metal were not unheard of, blink-182 released a steady stream of hits, bolstered by humorous, tongue-in-cheek music videos that were popular in the waning days of MTV's musical programming. The band formed in the suburbs of San Diego, California around guitarist/vocalist Tom DeLonge, bassist/vocalist Mark Hoppus, and drummer Scott...
