iTunes Review

A cover of Randy Crawford’s “One Day I’ll Fly Away” flung Vaults into the national consciousness when it soundtracked John Lewis’s dog-on-a-trampoline Christmas TV ad. It will be their own songwriting prowess–and vocalist Blythe Pepino’s emotional eloquence–that keeps them there though. Decorated with gospel touches “Midnight River” is an infectious cocktail of doubt and optimism, while “Hurricane” and “Overcome” typify their gift for heavy-hearted slow-burners blessed with big hooks and just enough drama.

Overall, though, great album and I look forward to seeing more of Vaults in future :)

Mr

Brilliant - can't stop listening to this album!
