iTunes Review

Maroon 5 finds itself back in heartbreak territory with “Cold”, a wistful pop ballad about two people growing apart. But dancehall drums and a lively verse from Future keep things from getting too gloomy (“I just spent half a mil on a chandelier/Now you tryin’ to cut me off like a light switch”). Frontman Adam Levine told Zane Lowe that the Atlanta superstar topped his list of dream collaborators: “You know his voice immediately; he’s so creative, he can do anything. This song is yawn inducing, elevator music. I suggest Adam Levine retires from the music industry so he can focus more on pouting, flexing, showing off his hideous tats and his stint on a contrived and gimmicky singing competition as these are the things he seems to be more keen on.
