The best 80's group.....ever

A remarkable, under-estimated peice of work from a nostalgic 80's band. A truly remarkable, credible album from a tight harmonal, highly produced group which really should have rated higher in the charts. If you like harmonies, rock, ballads, & general pop music...this is a must for you. A cracking album to sing along too - what a shame it was their last, with the fabulous Jay Aston!

Under-rated but fabulous pop

This album gets the five stars for the title track alone. I Hear Talk is a true masterpiece of musical genius. The track builds and builds adding layer upon layer of complexity - should have been a worldwide number one but never got the positive publicity it deserved. The rest of the album is Bucks Fizz in serious grown-up mode which was a mistake for their career but produced an exemplary album of pop/rock. This album embraces the new technology in recording available at the time and was trying to push the envelope. This remastered effort adds B-sides - of note is the Mike Batt 'Invisible' and the proposed but unreleased single 'Young Hearts' in an embryonic form.

This release was the last to feature Jay Aston sadly.

This album starts with the fantastic , I hear talk, which builds from start to finish and real fan all time favourite, while a prodominatley lead led album by Bobby G, there are stunning lead tracks by Cheryl Baker on, Tears on the ballroom Floor, to Mike Nolans breath taking , Januarys Gone, and Jays Astons fantastic , Theif in the night and Bobby G's leads on Indebted to you and, Breaking be up just prove he was a force to be reckoned with . The more you play the cd the better its gets time and time again proving that the group desevered so much more than they got buy ignorent shallow minded people who just laugh because they won the eurovision. what peolpe forget the Bucks Fizz was the most successful group to win ever since Abba selling over 17000000 albums

Formed: 1981 in London, England

Genre: Pop

Years Active: '80s, '90s

The winners of the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest, British quartet Bucks Fizz were, throughout the early '80s, regarded among the most successful bands of their era, chalking up no less than nine Top 20 hits between 1981-1983, including three chart-toppers, "Making Your Mind Up" (their Eurovision winner), "The Land of Make Believe," and "My Camera Never Lies." The band's total chart record includes 20 Top 40 entries, and it was 1988 before Bucks Fizz finally stopped scoring hits -- not a bad record...
