Customer Reviews

iTunes does it again, again.

Dear iTunes, when you have an album from such a short lived and, i'm sure to many, obscure band, the one and only track most will want from this album is their classic 'Weekender'. It was a fantastic track which managed to combine the music and mood of the period so brilliantly. No doubt you would have sold a lot more copies of this track were it not the case that you have insisted on us buying the whole album. One of the most attractive things about the current climate in the music industry, is that the consumer has been given the choice to vote, with their own money, on the success of an individual peice of music. When I am confronted with the choice of buying the whole album or not buying the track at all, I am immediately put off purchasing because iTunes has given me no choice. (For a further example, you do not need to look any further than the film soundtrack section. Remember that track in a film that caught your attention? 9 times out of 10, you have to buy all the rubbish ones as well to get it!) When ever I see this transparently scandalous attempt to encourage me to purchase something I don't want, I can't help remembering the expression 'rip-off Britain'. iTunes, once again I implore you, please do not attempt to take your customers loyalty for granted.

I agree whole heartedly with Swisster

Your trying to rip us of Itunes. I will not buy this album on the back of this. I only want the one track.

Happy to pay for music but not when its being sold in such a cynical manner. Why make me pay for the whole album if I just want 1 track, i've been fleeced by this Apple BS once too many times, taking my custom elsewhere or maybe a spot of file sharing.

Formed: London, England

Years Active: '80s, '90s

The perfect representation of the baggy movement's pills 'n' thrills hedonism, within a few years Flowered Up went from working-class kids to one of Britain's most hyped groups to drug-induced flameout. Seen as London's answer to Madchester groups like the Stone Roses and Happy Mondays, Flowered Up formed in 1989 in a Camden housing estate and featured vocalist Liam Maher, keyboardist Tim Dorney, guitarist Joe Maher, bassist Andy Jackson, drummer John Tovey, and Barry Mooncult, who wasn't officially...
