Out Of Ashes

Dead by sunrise is the amazing new band by Chester Bennington, but Linkin Park fans don't have to worry it is only a side project. Chester Bennington wrote all of these songs while writing for Minutes To Midnight album. He knew that the songs were not right for LP, so he began on his solo project. He asked Ryan Shuck and Amir Derkah for a helping hand, but they added their own influences to the songs, making Chester form Dead By Sunrise.

The songs are a lot more darker and have a more moodier tone than anything Chester has previously done, most of the influences for the songs have come from Chester own personal experiences. Take their first release, Crawl Back In, which contains a lot of lyrics referring to his past alcoholic addictions.

Best songs are Fire, Crawl Back In, Inside Of Me, My Suffering and Morning After.

Fire - 10/10
Crawl Back In - 10/10
Too Late - 9/10
Iside Of Me - 10/10
Let Down - 8/10
Give Me Your Name - 7/10
My Suffering - 10/10
Condemned - 9/10
Into You - 8/10
End Of The World - 9/10
Walking In Circles - 8/10
In The Darkness - 9/10
Morning After - 10/10

The more heavier tracks on the album come from Fire Crawl Back In, My Suffering, Condemned and Morning After. The softer sounding tracks are Let Down, Into You and Walking In Circles. This is a brilliant album and if you like Linkin Park, you will probably like this.

Pretty decent - great new addition to 2009

A decent rock album, but the only thing it lacks is popularity.
Old Linkin Park fans might listen to this and instantly decide it's garbage.
Luckily enough for me, I enjoy many different types of rock, so if you're like me then go for this album. It's a great new asset to Chester's discography, and a brilliant new album for the last part of 2009.
Best tracks: Fire, Too Late, My Suffering and In the Darkness, which I'd all happily give a solid 5 out of 5.
All in all, purchase this album, I'd definetly recommend it to any (open-minded) Linkin Park fan or just somebody who's looking for a solid rock album to add to their collection.

Decent rock album

Better than the last Lp album. Chester's voice is also back to his best. Much more rock orientated but the slower songs are still excellent, best songs, condemned, my suffering, in the darkness

Looking for an outlet for some of his darker and moodier material written during the recording of Minutes to Midnight, Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington created Dead by Sunrise in 2005 as a way to explore different creative avenues. Recruiting Amir Derakh, Ryan Shuck, Brandon Belsky, and Elias Andra (whom Bennington had been previously worked with as a part of the production team/synth pop band Julien-K) as well as Anthony "Fu" Valcic, Bennington shied away from Linkin Park's nu-metal and Julien-K's...
