I was lucky enough to sit through a day long torrential downpour and see the lady live in Budapest on the tour that went up to make this recording. This album beautifully records that tour. If you are a fan of the music then you know what you are going to get and the recordings are as good or even better than the studio versions. If you are not a fan then this album is a great starting point as it includes a a kind of "Best of..." disc of tracks selected by Loreena herself. The digital booklet makes the purchase worthwhile. It is something that detracts from other of her earlier releases here on iTunes, which are very much inhanced by sleeve notes

Loreena McKennitt's literate and sometimes experimental focus on Celtic-tinged traditional and original material, coupled with her haunting harp playing, has made her Canada's national chanteuse and new age troubadour since she broke through to prominence in the mid-'80s. The daughter of a nurse mother and a livestock-trading father, McKennitt studied classical piano and voice and learned to dance in the highland style as a youngster. Her love of traditional music was strengthened in the folk clubs...
