Sonic sounds

This album is proof if any, that you dont have to have massive chart success to create a classic. Daydream Nation contains some excellant singles but this is best listened to as a whole. A word of warning in that it may not be to everyones tastes due to their experimental nature, but if you have even a passing interest in rock or indie music, then this is one of the greatest albums money can buy from either of those genres. Both Awesome and inspiring.

monolith of indie rock

Released when indie was indie, daydream nation is what "alt" rock should be,while hair metal, synth pop and mega rock bands with hugh egos were running riot this was a breath of fresh air and a true rock record. The album is 74 minutes of pure sonic expierimentation into the unknown with some of the best guitar displayed since hendrix, the songwriting and song structure is weird but stunning ,although it may pose a diffcult listen as half the tracks are over 7 minutes .All the groups strenghs are shown here, buy this now its truly the best indie album of all time and of the 80s
