Album Review

Vénus (2008), the follow-up to Popstars winner Sheryfa Luna's album debut, is another R&B-fashioned French pop effort with a trio of stand-out singles. Likewise produced by Benjamin Chulvanij, the album is named after the singer's son, born earlier in the year. Though it unfortunately doesn't feature her summer 2008 smash hit duet with Star Academy finalist Mathieu Edward, "Comme Avant," Vénus is loaded with the Top Ten hits "Si Tu N'Étais Plus Là," "Ce Qu'ils Aiment," and "Je Reviendrai."
