Welcome To My World

Jim Reeves was silenced forever at two minutes to five on Friday the 31st of July 1964, it took three days for the thousands of volunteers including, Chet Atkins, Harlan Howard, Eddy Arnold and Ernest Tubb, to find his body. Even though his voice was silenced his recordings lived on, this album is by no means a complete collection but it is a beautiful sample of the songs his laid down on wax. Jim Reeves voice is most likely to be the most wonderful voice you will ever hear - sit back and allow his mellow voice to flow over you through this amazing album - trully a legend, coming from might i add, a 19 year old lad in Sheffield UK. Timeless, Yet Still sounds as fresh and as modern as ever, enjoy!!!

Genre: Country

Years Active: '30s, '40s, '50s, '60s

Reeves was capable of singing hard country ("Mexican Joe" went to number one in 1953), but he made his greatest impact as a country-pop crooner....
