As expected.....

..amazing. Cant wait for the rest.

Too commercialised? Sod that.

Whoever below said the new song is too commercialised is mentally handicapped. Seriously. The song is incredible. The chorus is mind-blowing, the drums insanity, and the vocals in general are so crisp, so clean, so powerful. Mastodon only getting better and better. This is not an opinion, either. It is fact.

With every album the Mastodon sound has changed, widening into new territory and never afraid to try something different. This new song is no exception, building on the more psychedelic/classic rock sound of many of the Blood Mountain tracks. The vocals will be the biggest surprise for most with a new, crisp sound and a keen ear for a strong melody. The guitars and drums are both outstanding, with the trademark odd time signatures and complex, shifting riffs fimly in place. A real progression that bodes well for the new album. Fantastic stuff.
