I rather like it

An impulse buy I'm very pleased with. She has a wonderful voice and the music is beautiful to match. Give it a shot, this is good music. Fact!

Holly Golightly

Excellent - I am sure Holly appears on the track "Well It's true that we love one another" on the Album Elephant by the white stripes. She has a really cool voice.


I bought this because I liked her contribution to the Broken Flowers soundtrack. Hard to describe, but I really like the music here. On some tracks, Holly sounds like the unholy love child of Patsy Cline and The Zombies. On others, she sounds like Peggy Lee on acid. Because of the influences, there is an instantly familiar sound to her music, but all of it is uniquely her.

Holly Golightly joined the Billy Childish auxiliary group Thee Headcoatees in 1991 when her boyfriend, Bruce Brand (Thee Headcoatees' drummer), invited her to a gig and she ended up singing.
