Cool but just a tad too heavy

Loved their 80's music, prisoners of paradise was also fantastic. This album just not enough guitar for me, dark & heavy I'm afraid. Always compared them to bon Jovi. However this way removed from their style & lyrics etc. some good tunes, hence 3 stars. But I think after a few plays it will probably be archived.


Europe have gone through a huge change with their last two albums, Last look at Eden and this new one. I never considered myself a fan of the band but these last two albums have changed all that. Do yourself a favour, if your a fan of good rock music, buy this album, you won't be disappointed.


All killer - no filler

Somehow, somewhere, during their long hiatus of the 90's and early 00's, the choirboys of Europe grew into an exceptional rock band. Doubter be warned: this is a gritty, thumping, roller coaster of a metal album.

Originally a progressive rock group, Europe didn't achieve success until they reworked their sound into bombastic yet melodic pop-metal. In their first incarnation, the Swedish band was called Force.
