Editors’ Notes

It could’ve been a case of "too many cooks"—but the Wilburys' first album instead showcases a masterful supergroup in which every player sounds equally inspired. Bob Dylan is loose and funny on “Dirty World” and “Tweeter and the Monkey Man”. Tom Petty provides some light-hearted reggae-pop on “Last Night”. Roy Orbison shines on Jeff Lynne’s “Not Alone Anymore”. And George Harrison's catchy melodies and pitch-perfect harmonies on “Handle With Care” and “End of the Line” offer the album’s sweetest pleasures.
