get off the moral low ground - the man is a legend

The reviewers comparing this man with Gary Glitter are either out of their trees, or simply gullible for every News Of The World headline. Jonathon King may be gay but he is not a paedophile, and his music - cheap and cheerful pop in a multitude of guises - brightened the UK charts for many years. PLUS he discovered Genesis. PLUS he released 10CC. Give him his due. If you hated his contribution to pop music, then review him on that level. But don't come over all outraged (hypocritical, more like), judging him by his sexuality. Freddie Mercury is a dead hero. JK did nothing worse than Freddie, and though his contribution to music hardly rates on the same planet, he deserves some respect for giving us some laughs along the way. I hope this record does him well.

Highly Recommended

I stumbled upon this collection by mistake and found some really nice little musical gems ! Everyone's Gone To The Moon, A Very, Very Melancholy Man, Hooked On A Feeling, Lazybones and Una Paloma Blanca are worth the album price alone. Fun. Simple. Sugary Pop. Sweet !

so what !

judge people on their music.this is supposed to be about music. this man is responsible for the best band ever, 10cc!

His music intersects commercial pop and comedy at several points, like a cross between Herman's Hermits, the Bee Gees, and Randy Newman, without ever getting more profound or complex than the first people on that list. He'd last about ten weeks in the American consciousness before being forgotten,...
