Classic album released at last...

Kit Hain, best known as one half of Marshall Hain produced some great songs after the band split. It's taken nearly 30 years to get these sublime tracks on CD let alone a download.
All that is now required is for Free Ride, Marshall Hain's one and only album to be released on CD...or download and amazingly enough that is about to happen on Valentines day.....only some 33 years after it came out on vinyl.
These albums are full of subtle thoughtful songs and have weathered the years well....
The only thing to say is ......enjoy.

Finally, the chance to hear her work...

Since I own the two original vinyl albums that were released in the early 1980's, (Spirits Walking Out and School for Spies), as well as Marshall Hain's Free Ride, I am delighted to finally see at least some of Kit Hain's solo work available digitally, but saddened that the original albums have not been released in their original state, since they were both superb pieces of work.

10 of the songs on this album are from Spirits Walking Out, with Inner Ring and Survivors being the extra tracks and I am unsure about how comfortably they sit with the original tracks. Nevertheless, I am delighted to finally see Kit's work being made available to the digital generation... finally!

Hain’s first release after the band was predictably dropped by their record company was ‘The Joke’s On You’, for Harvest Records. She then signed to Decca Records and subsequently Mercury Records for several singles and albums. Hain moved to the USA...
