Love this album

This is a great album by the beautiful Etana

Disappointing

Have been looking forward to this release ever since Etana's last album "The Strong One", and I wanted to love the album. However, I don't. It's ok, but for me, no stand out tracks, too many tracks follow the same formula and sound the same. It's just boring and it shouldn't be.

I can't see myself listening too often to this album, which is a shame as her first album remains one of my favourite albums of all time.

Soulful Reggae

Great Voice and great music combining soul reggae mix. First time came across her music just love it. Great listening. Recommended

While Etana's vintage style of socially conscious reggae seems like a reaction to all the sex and violence in dancehall reggae, her journey back to roots music began as a reaction to the hedonistic side of R&B. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Etana -- a Swahili name for "the strong one" --was still known as Shauna McKenzie and living in Florida when she left the nursing program she was attending at college to join the R&B group Gift.
