iTunes Editors' Notes

With Freedom Akon continues an astonishing course of success, delivering a set of songs so accessible they work as well whether played at top volume in a night club or as background music in a doctor’s office. Either way, you are unlikely to get these melodies out of your head. Club tracks like “Beautiful” and “Right Now (Na Na Na)” hurtle through the space without an ounce of weight or friction. When listening to these songs one has the feeling of being simultaneously propelled forward and suspended in thin air. Meanwhile, the disarmingly simple music-box melodies of “Sunny Day” and “Be With You” continue the tradition started by “Don’t Matter”. Other songs show Akon to be one of hip-hop’s most reliable point men. “Holla Holla” folds his voice and protégé T-Pain’s voice into a single entity, while the raspy rhyming of Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy forms a perfect complement to Akon’s innocence on “I’m So Paid”.

trouble was a brilliant debut but lacked depth throughout the album. there were some weal songs. then came konvicted which was even better but however had 1 or 2 weak tracks. Now can e deliver or the 3rd album-you bet he can. hes changed the sound abit, going more euro club but it sounds good. i can go from track 1 to the last withoout skiping, Great album akon-keep it up. GO BUY IT. WE DONT'T CARE is very good, along wiv troublemaker. Birthmark is a very nice, touching song

This album is absoloutely AMAZING. When I first heard Right Now (Na Na Na) I didn't once think that it was Akon. It's so highly addictive. Beautiful is fantastic, a really good dance song. We Don't Care is also a great song along with I'm So Paid, an upbeat tune. Definitely worth the buy.
