Beneath the Boardwalk

Realising the faux american accent was a no-no, Alex Turner decided Sheffield is best - how right he is. Excellent lyrical observations that don't take themselves too seriously. If you can get your hands on their much vaunted Beneath the Boardwalk demo (or any constituents), bite any and all hands off to do so. If you can see them live, bite your own hands off and get someone else to hold your pint. Particular anthems to look out for (other than these) are (I Bet) You Look Good on the Dancefloor; Dancing Shoes; Bigger Boys & Stolen Sweethearts; When the Sun Goes Down (Scummy); Mardy Bum; Choo Choo; and A Certain Romance. They have many songs I haven't heard; the album can only be awesome. Refreshing stuff.

Sheffield's Finest

Theses boys are easily the best band around at the moment! Having heard some of the demo stuff they have made avalible on the net its clear to see the Arctic Monkeys will be THE band of 2006. Tracks like "Certain Romance" and "Mardy Bum" have anthem written all over them. Having heard future material and seen there stormin live show i have no doubts that The Arctic Monkeys will be Huge.

Doesn't get any better!

Music doesn't get better than the Arctic Monkeys who have taken English music by force! The band of the moment and the song's of the moment. It doesn't get better than the Arctic Monkeys!

Their meteoric rise began in 2005, when the teenagers fielded offers from major labels and drew a sold-out crowd to the London Astoria, using little more than a self-released EP as bait. Several months later, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What...
