The More Outspoken One ,

Fabulous throwback, top down Pacific Coast Highway.

Apparently a couple of the guys from Hot Chip formed BP as a side project. I can take or leave HotChip but Mark and Mac played some of this superb album on BBC6. I'm blown away. It's got a very West Coast 70s vibe, very summery, bit of Dead, Allmans, Doobies; Fire and a WaterSign could be off Sticky Fingers or Exile, the rhythm guitar is just Keef. Someones been listening to his/her parents old vinyl and just twisted it all enough to make it thoroughly modern. It most reminds me of the excellent New Monsoon with it's looks over the shoulder and respectful nods at the past. I absolutely love it.
