iTunes Review

When Chris Daughtry passed on the chance to become the lead singer of established rockers Fuel, it seemed like he was missing a great opportunity. It turns out that the move was a smart one as, with his band Daughtry, he's since become a massive force on the scene of new hard rock. The group's heavy, heart-on-a-sleeve debut became the best-selling album of 2007. Leave This Town finds our American Idol hero handling the solution to the second album question by making everything bigger and heavier. Roping in fellow new rock revivalist Chad Kroeger on first single "No Surprise", the band bristle with energy and the emotional pull of someone who's actually seen a good relationship fall apart. That track's balance of acoustic sensitivity and electric bombast is pitted against more high-energy rockers like "Every Time You Turn Around" and "You Don't Belong". Elsewhere, the ballad "Call Your Name" shows Daughtry's remarkable talent as an expressive singer and ends with a rock fury greater than any of the other more high-octane tracks.

This is one awesome album and a must buy. I never thought they could out do their last album, but they prove that they can. every song is amazing and i haven't stopped listening to it since i got it. it starts with a great song and just keeps getting better and ends on a great song. one for 2009. Go and buy this, trust me, you won't be disappointed

Inspirational, Moving, BEAUTIFUL.

It comes to NO SURPRISE to me that this album is quite frankly AMAZING. Daughtry's first album was outstanding but this album just really takes it to another level. Every song is beautifully sculptured and nurtured until perfection is achieved and that's what this album is perfection. Chris Daughtry you have once again done it again your old album helped GET ME THROUGH some pretty tough times in my life but I guess WHAT I MEANT TO SAY in this review is not to hesitate in purchasing this album and for you to OPEN UP YOUR EYES to see what an AMAZING masterpiece of an album this really is. Chris your amazing CONGRATZ on this amazing ALBUM haha I did use a lot of the album's song's names intentionally kinda silly really but what can I say ;)

Amazing!

My favourite album of 2009. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! One of the few albums you can play without skipping a song. Personal favourites are: Ghost of me, You Don't Belong, Life After You and Open Up Your Eyes. Fantastic album by Daughtry, cannot wait till they release another one :)

Biography

Formed: 2006 in McLeansville, NC

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '00s, '10s

Bo Bice proved that American Idol could have a rocker as a finalist, but Chris Daughtry proved that the show could generate a successful rocker outside the context of the show. Of course, it helped that he was the polar opposite of Bice, a shaggy retro-rocker soaked in the South. Bold and bald, Daughtry was the picture of a modern rocker, living by the rulebook written by Live and Fuel. These were the qualities that helped make Chris...
