The Whole Family Is Worried

The Whole Family Is Worried

Emerging as a precociously gifted 16 year-old folk singer/songwriter, south Londoner Misty Miller puts down the ukulele to mark a darker coming of age with The Whole Family Is Worried. Her former punk parents needn’t have worried—‘mis’-spending her formative years hanging out with Fat White Family has put her through a rock’n’roll finishing school. Grungy pop “Happy” is all feminist feistiness, while “Stars” is a ‘60s folk rock tale of love lost. She’s at her best with the petulant punkishness though. “Girlfriend” showcases her distinctive retro tone against racing rockabilly.
