Album Review

Les Greatest Hits remains the best introduction to Army of Lovers' music; along with the singles "Supernatural," "Crucified," "Obsession" and "Israelism," it also features the new tracks "Give My Life," "Venus and Mars" and "Requiem."

Lover of the Lovers!

Whilst I rate this band at the very top of my list, this being a compilation album I feel I can't score it full marks - all of these songs and many more (better?) can be found on the groups many albums, sadly not yet available on itunes for the masses! That said, there are some true masterpieces to be had here, from the Massive european hit Crucifed to my personal favourite, Obsession (also covered by Bodies Without Organs - Alexander Bard's latest outfit!) Slotted in amongst the classics are a few lesser known tracks, Requiem and King Midas for example and you don't miss out on the good ol' show pleasers like Ride the Bullet and Israelism. The whole album of course carries you away on the Army's unique camp vibe, tasting elements of this groups flambouyant career and for a starting point, I would highly recommend you take a bite. And just as Life Is Fantastic, so is this album!

Fabulous

Everone should own this, this is what 'pop' music is all about.

In 1985 — in drag, no less — he led Barbie, a band also comprised of hairdresser Jean-Pierre Barda (alias Farouk), Yazmina Chantal, and model Camilla Henemark (aka Katanga); two years later, Bard,...
