Great music for the Gaming Geek!

Fantastic album the songs are great! Lots of great games! Some sound just like the theme from the game but with something extra behind it! The tetris theme I think is my favourate so far after two listens as it is such a clasic song with so much added by the LPO! Cracking must buy if your a computer game geek!

Finally, more appreciation for the genius of game soundracks

I was happy to see this available on itunes and happier still with the content. Some of the music on here is truly amazing and I'm very happy to hear them reproduced by the London Philharmonic Orchestra - the adaptations are always interesting at the very least. My one concern is that it's a bit of a popularity contest - they've deliberately put music from games that everyone has played. Of course, this is fair if they want people to buy this. However, I feel like they missed out on a gem or two - notably the Medal of Honor soundtrack to the WWII games which I think is one of the most under-appreicated soundtracks to a game. That said, I was very happy to see "suicide Mission" from Mass Effect 2 here - my favourite track from a game's soundtrack that I've ever heard. I'd certainly recommend it but I just feel as though there could have been more.

A few I've never heard which are quite good.
Mass effect suicide mission is great loved it when playing the game.
Stand out best is easily halo 3 one final effort great song from the best game ever made.

The London Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the central institutions of the busy London concert scene, has long been recognized as one of the world's great ensembles, an assertion borne out by continued acclaim from audiences and critics alike. When the venerable Royal Philharmonic Society faced a financial crisis in the late 1920s, Sir Thomas Beecham proposed a plan to form a permanent orchestra for the first time in the Society's 115-year history. It was proposed that the ensemble, to be called...
