iTunes Review

A stunning breakthrough in ambition and sound for the art-rock Londoners. The vibrant spikiness that characterised The Maccabees when they emerged is largely absent here. Instead, this lush, cinematic record reflects on life’s uncertainties while planting uplifting choruses within stadium grandeur (“Ayla”) and haunted atmospherics (“Grew Up At Midnight”). On “Child” and “Feel to Follow”, the balance between intimacy, invention and stateliness catapults The Maccabees beyond their peers into their own visionary space.

Just buy this album it is actually amazing, you will not regret it, the only downside is that I can't give it a bigger rating!
TRIUMPH!!!!!! Can't wait to see them!

New sound makes for stunning listen

If your lookin for the new latchmere then dont bother downloading. They have evolved there sound into something truly beautiful on this album.. stunning

Guys, really...this is incredible. I can't see how anyone can find any faults with this superb album. They're sound has matured so much since the first one, and you can hear the effort that's gone into it. Buy Buy Buy! 'Forever I've known' is one to look out for, and the transition from the intro into 'Child' is goosebump potential.
