Fantastic and Different!

When Halford anounced he would be releasing a Christmas album, I was, like a lot of people, sceptical at first. However, this is album is not half as ridiculous as I expected it to be. 7 out of the 10 songs on offer here are atmospheric and christmassy in a traditional sense whilst still sounding like metal/rock. Rob's vocals are powerful and beautifal. The remaining three (Get Into The Spirit, Christmas For Everyone and I Don't Care) are closer to a regular offering from Halford and still deliver the goods in many ways whilst still fitting in with thew album (indeed, Get Into The Spirit is the perfect opener and the other two are a slightly jauntier break from the other more intense numbers here). If you are a fan of Halford or Judas Pirest and up for something a bit different: get this. If you like Christmas: get this, even if you are not into heavy metal because apart from the 3 louder songs it is VERY accesible (without becoming too commercial). So come on people! Boycott Ronan Keating's Winter Songs and get Rob Halford's offering instead. I can assure you the music will be of a much higher quality and will mean a lot more. METAL IS FOR LIFE, NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMAS! :P:P:P

I love Halford and I love Christmas...

As I was saying, I love Halford and I love Christmas...but this album is just plain awful. Well when I say awful I mean it's just not to my taste. I suppose you've got to give it to the band for experimenting. Roll on the next album!

Different yet awesome still

I like it, it's different but it's good 8/10

As the incomparable voice of thrashing beast Judas Priest, Rob Halford defined the role of the metal frontman. After his unamiable departure from the British juggernaut, Halford formed Fight with Priest drummer-come-lately Scott Travis. Fight released three powerful records, Halford straining to remain the masthead of the heavy rock movement he created. Two, a trendy electro-exercise with Trent Reznor, took two steps back on the misguided Voyeurs. Halford returned to his roots and formed a new unit,...
