Their best Album - plus

Idlewild was always for me the best ebtg album: the uncertain swerves of albums 2 and 3 were resolved with a sublime return to basics - great songs and great singing, backed simply. The joy of this reissue is the b-sides: there's real strength in depth here, and much variety of tone and voice. Plus the demos give a real sense of how the album might have sounded if it had taken more of a soul route. This is genuinely one to savour.
