The tragedy that occurred at Hillsborough more than two decades ago, with the loss of 96 lives, still affects many of us. To help support the legal fees of the victim’s families as they continue to campaign for justice, a remarkable group of musicians—including Sir Paul McCartney, Robbie Williams, Mick Jones, Shane MacGowan and many more—have united to record this tribute single. Both The Hollies and Neil Diamond have helped popularise “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother”, yet the mighty ballad takes on heightened sentimentality in this soaring, harmonious rendition.
Regardless of the actual weight of your brother or sister , or your interest in the artists involved, it would be great to see this chart over the Christmas period to show the families of the 96 people who never returned from Hillsborough Stadium that you support their fight for Justice. Thank you !
Justice. No more. No less. Justice for the 96 make it number 1, would mean everything.
Big thanks to the Blue side of the city, your support made this single possible, lets make it number one over Christmas.
