epic album

UK Hip Hop consistently proves that we are ahead of our cousins across the pond. This album has everything, excellent lyrical flow, engaging topics, fantastic production and some nice guest appearances. Mainstream Hip Hop is garbage wherever you are and its albums and artists like these that make you remember what its all about and how good Hip Hop can sound if its done right. All the tracks are great but my top ones are 'my soul, dream coat, you'll never change and turn of phrase'. Well worth your time and money heads.

He Who Dares............Wins

Fliptrix's second album is definitely more complete. The production is tighter here and his rhyming has improved not to say he didn't have talent in the first place though. Like Guru said "It's mostly the voice", and in this case Flip's vocal prowess draws you in with clever wordplay, varied structure to his verses and of course his distinctive voice. Not to take 2nd place though is the production but when you're up against Fliptrix it's pretty hard, mostly handled by Runone & Mr. Molotov who do an amazing job without being you're everyday household names, they need to link up with more artists. All the tracks are different and make this album quite easily the best release of the year so far across all genress although I'm biased due to a favouritism of hip-hop in particular. Best tracks for me are 'Head Held High' and 'Find The Catch' featuring the equally impressive Jam Baxter. To be honest through you wont find a weak track. Buy this album and you won't regret it. In 3 words - Deep, Funky & Lyrical.
