The Underrated Hergest Ridge

Just like the Tubular Bells deluxe issue, the Hergest Ridge deluxe contains some of the more raw, unpolished versions and the more touched up deals that sit along side the original album release. It's amazing how, although the tunes are the same, the raw versions seem very different and yet just as soul stirring and beautiful. As many fans will concur Mike Oldfield is a one and only.

For the unfamiliars I recommend the first 12 minutes of part 1. Just sit back. Relax. And become spellbound.
