Interesting but flawed concept

Interesting as a concept and perhaps a staging post for both bands to launch a different sound, but for both bands it is generally a let down compared to their earlier works. The riffs and big beats of Hold On (originally recorded by Brooklyn based Holy Ghost!) are beautiful if a little repetative but Holy Ghost! in trying to emulate a late 90s Daft Punk sound fall short of achieving anything but a modest elctro pop track. The instrumentals on the EP might keep dance djs happy with the opportunity for sampling but for the avid fan of electro pop this is a disappointment.

Well, I like it!

6 music (UK) is playing this one lot and it's really got into the old brainbox. Something to keep you going until the next LCS Soundsystem release.
