chance discovery

This sountrack was a chance find for me on itunes. I hadn't heard of the film or of the composer before but after listening to the samples and noticing the price I took the plunge. It is a very easy chilled out score with some nice international flavours. It is very similar to Phillip Glass in style and tone, mixed with a little Hans Zimmer. Lovely string writing and vocal textures. For anyone who is a fan of subtle scoring plug into ipod mode and float away.

Beautiful chill-out stuff.

The sort of music you take in the bath with you - provided your machine isn't plugged into the wall socket of course! ;-) Gorgeous and haunting - almost like early Mike Oldfield but more controlled than some of the riotous sections of, say, Tubular Bells. I am minded of the acoustic guitar section on Tubular Bells Part II, written after Oldfield's mother passed away, where the music drifts into an enchanting melody that seems to carry you off on a breeze. Fans of Gregorian chanting will probably find some solace here too while unwinding after a long day. For less than the price of a burger and fries, this is a must buy and a great find. The film looks fantastic - and it's free too!

A breath taking journey

This Album is very dynamic and covers several styles of music from soothing melody to fast paced beats and it works fantastic on all these levels.
