Ian from Liverpool

Theres nothing I can say that can describe the album really. Basically the story begins with a guy going to hospital and seeing either his patient or his partner lying there amassed with tubes and machines and within the first 30 seconds you know this album is going to hurt.

But it is not sentimental, Pete Silberman is honest - painfully honest and descriptive about the suffering that this person lying there is enduring and moreover the guilt he feels that he can't do anything about it.

As each song progresses so do the stages of suffering...ending in Wake and Epilogue whereby I defy any man or woman to not just break down physically and cry as indeed I, a father of two children, did when I heard the last track.

It is quite simply, as with life, both joyous and sad. Both beautiful and tragic.

Just listen!

This Album Will Change Your Life

Never has an album had such an immediate impact on me. The album is about a man who has to watch his partner slowly die from Bone Cancer. It is grim stuff, but don't be put off. Musically beautiful and lyrically astonishing, "Hospice" is an album that will tear at your heartstrings. A truley unique and honest record; I challenge you to find one more emotive than this.

Hard to define but simply brilliant

Yeah, this one is a hard one to describe and define but it demands your attention. Honest, powerful and emotional - this album is an absoloute treasure and such a rewarding listen. One of my favourite albums in recent times.

After self-recording a handful of albums in a kamikaze fashion -- Uprooted (recorded just before and after moving in 2007), The February Tape (recorded in a bathtub in an hour), In the Attic of the Universe (a single ambient song stretched into an album), and Cold War (an album with...
