Knocking it out the park!

Great album, great guy! Don't stop what you do Newton! You were great in Bournemouth on the 22nd!

He's done it again!

Hat's off to our favourite ginger (slightly less dreaded) singer/songwriter/professional dog food taster; he seems to have pulled another rabbit out if the hat. Or 11 rabbits, each in the form of an outstanding addition to the record, out of the hat that is the soaring expectations of all those who have graced their own ears with Newton's previous albums.

Though in-unnoticeably different from the other four studio albums he has presented us with, Human Love is an awesome addition to what will inevitably become known as Mr Faulkner's legacy. From the modest perfection of 'Break' and abstract serenity of 'Can I Be Enough', to the power ballad that is 'Shadow Boxing', I guarantee this album will leave your toes tapping and heart strings contracting for as long as you're sane.

In exploring a whole new genre of music, Newton has evidently been careful not to completely forget his roots and what brought about his success, resulting in a modern fusion of mainstream individuality. Though this may seem to be a rather oxymoronic claim, there is nothing confrontational about the music that this record boasts. Seriously, I can't get 'Up Up And Away' out of my head!!!

Comparisons to Faulkner's masterpiece, 'Hand Built By Robots' are undoubtedly justified. This is a new era for Newton's music, and it looks as though it's gonna be a good one!!!!

Weak at best

After the incredible and organic Studio Zoo many of his fans believed he had found his true sound but this latest offering seems to have taken many major steps back and is by far his weakest album to date. A shame for such a talent.

Sam Newton Battenberg Faulkner was born in Surrey on the 11th of January 1985 and attended the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, studying the guitar and graduating at the age of 17.
