Deniece Williams' incredible high-octane soprano soars over ten tracks. Songs like "Never Say Never" will keep every nerve on red alert. The title track was a victim of lackadaisical promotion, and the unusual "Love Finds You," sung in a delicious soprano-falsetto, never got picked as a single. Her passion for ballads hasn't diminished and she gives "Not by Chance" and "Baby This Is Love" sensuous workouts. Equally as effective is the bouncy "One Less Lonely Heart" and "I'll Believe in You," a building thriller.

Deniece Williams grew up singing in a Pentecostal church, which was strict on the congregation listening only to gospel music. During the late '60s, she was a candy striper in a Chicago hospital.
