Released six years after their 2007 final album, this compendium of Rilo Kiley’s career “leftovers” is a must-have for any devotee of the L.A. indie-pop darlings, weaving together rare outtakes, beloved B-sides and surprise remixes (see the colourful cameo from Too $hort on their reworking of “Dejalo”). But their trademark whimsy-meets-misery style remains present and correct here, with the confessional indie-rock of “It’ll Get You There” and the barbed adoration of “Let Me Back In” highlighting just why they’re still so cherished.
