iTunes Review

No difficult second album here. Just blistering, swashbuckling tunes. Fittingly for a band that earned notoriety playing car parks outside other bands’ gigs, there’s a fearlessness to the British four-piece’s follow-up to 2014’s rollicking The Balcony. Its first half is a masterclass in exuberant, let-tonight-last-forever indie—“Twice” and “Soudcheck”, in particular, were built for raucous festival crowds—before two gems glisten on the home straight. “Glasgow” and “Heathrow” are both gorgeous and reveal a softer, melodically piercing side to a band breaking confidently into its stride.

What Exciting Times We Live In

2 albums in 2 and a half years?! Van, you madman. Hope it is as good as Balcony but I'm sure they won't disappoint. Any chance for a deluxe version with the Beautiful Decay material on it?!

In love

After queuing in Nottingham for 7 hours to get to the front row in November was so worth it! First time I heard 7 play was live and it was insane! Van came dead close to me, waited for me to look up from my phone because it was playing up and then he winked at me before running back around the stage!
Waited for a few hours to see if they'd come out to meet us (we were stranded in Nottingham anyway and had to get back to Leicester) didn't come out so we went to a couple bars in Notts. £150 resale tickets well spent Ahha
Then got tickets to Hull, we went literally Saturday just gone, their first arena.. Ice hockey arena. I'd never been to hull, long train journey from Leicester! Queued from lunchtime and got absolutely crushed again at the barrier Ahha! Crazy night & loved it.. Wish we stayed until they came out to meet people but the pub hotel we were staying at closed at 12 and we had to get a taxi back before it closed so we could actually get in!
But yeah, Catfish and the Bottlemen are one of those bands you imagine falling in love with one of the members, you imagine them being the coolest, sexiest and most loveliest people ever and I guess that's why they have so many teenage girls hearts!
They're vastly growing and growing, I wouldn't have thought like 3,000 would know who they were in Hull.. Shall be sad to see them leave the intimate UK gigs to go on to tour the world with massive stages but good luck to them!

the ride
