iTunes Review

On Born in the Echoes, The Chemical Brothers immediately put a couple things to great use: their wide-ranging sonic palette and an equally impressive contacts book. But while friends like Beck, St. Vincent and Q-Tip star on a mix of sometimes-breezy, sometimes-bumpin' pop and dance tunes, the Chems never turn their back on their underground roots. “Just Bang” is a classic, acid-inspired breakbeat track, while the breathy synth-scape “Radiate” will keep you guessing about what’s next.

Disappointed

Thought it was boring and very basic.....I'm off back to the 90's when electronic music had some heart, soul and work put into it!

Minimal Chems forget the melody

I'm hoping this album is a grower because after a few listens I'm actually disappointed.

I'd say this is their least accessible album and comes across quite minimal. The production is top draw as usual but there's no standout melodies or hooks.

This may well have wanted to avoid the current EDM trappings by not making any flash in the pan club tracks, but it just comes across like a collection of BSides. There's no sign of the duo who delivered beauties such as the Golden Path, Horse Power etc.

I THOUGHT IT WAS MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE

Good album though

And when the duo (Tom Rowlands and...
