nutty boys classic

madness greatest album now expanded with loads of extra's, my fav extra is the work, rest and play ep on disc 2(yes i actually bought the cd £8.99 from hmv) an excellent package and takes me right back to 1979 with all the two tone tunes,i hope they release absolutely in as good a package as this,33 songs and 5 video's makes this an essential purchase 5 stars

It's a classic

First record i ever bought. Sounds flippin brilliant. £6.99? absolute must buy!

Still my favourite Madness album

They may have released more mature or polished albums, but One Step Beyond remains my favourite Madness release. The immediacy of what it basically their early live set comes through from start to finish, capturing the Nutty Boys at their nuttiest. As a collection of songs, this one just can't be beaten.

Don't make the mistake of dismissing this album as just a bunch of throwaway pop songs and a load of filler tracks - there's tonnes of substance all the way through, and the whole is so much more than the sum of its parts. The bonus tracks on the Deluxe Edition only add to the great value.

It's hard to believe that something over 30 years old can still sound so fresh!
