This tenth studio album by Biagio Antonacci finds the singer, songwriter, and producer working with arrangers Celso Valli, Michele Canova, and Guido Style, looking for new avenues for his trademark ballads and pop/rock Italian style. A huge commercial success in Italy, the album spent four consecutive weeks at number one upon its release, and spawned no less than five singles: "Buongiorno Bell'anima," "Chiedimi Scusa," "Se Fosse Per Sempre," "Ubbidirò," and "Inaspettata," the last two being duos with Club Dogo and Leona Lewis, respectively. A deluxe edition adds a second disc with three bonus tracks.

Romantic balladeer Biagio Antonacci emerged from the Milan area in the late '80s and gradually became one of the most successful Italian pop singers of the modern era. Born in Milan on November 9, 1963, Antonacci was raised in Rozzano. While studying geometry, in 1988 he entered the annual Festival di Sanremo with his song "Voglio Vivere in un Attimo," scoring a recording contract immediately thereafter.
