Oh dear...

How the Goo Goo Dolls allowed this I will never know. What I can only describe as the last in a long line of reasons why I don't buy Ronan Keating material anymore if it was April I'd be laughing. The destruction of Kenny Rogers 'She Believes in Me" is reason enough not to be a fan anymore but when you add Alison Krauss, Garth Brooks, Leeann Womack and Neil Diamond to the ever increasing list of artists whose music he has slaughtered you have to wonder how he has a record deal at all.

be fair.....

fair enough the Goo Goo Dolls version is better i do have to agree on that however i think you have to be fair and say does any cover of any song ever beat the original? ANS: no it doesn't, Ronan may have not managed a total equal brilliantness to the Goo Goo Dolls version but it comes a very close second due to ronans usual brilliant & lovely husky voice, which matches with the mood and tempo of the song. Ronan has done it justice and no-one could have done it better!

I am a huge fan of the Goos, John Rzeznik is a legand, I must say I have never been so upset about a cover in my life! This is not a 'boys band ballad!' and every time I hear it I just want to scream, some songs demand respect and this is one of them- It is not a pretty love song, it is painful and passionate. Its like someone covering 'Annies song' by John Denvor- the love song about his wife, it just wouldn't be right! Little girls running around singing Iris in its new 'pretty' form- do yourself a favour, watch the live in Buffelo video, see iris as its ment to be sung, Sung by a real man! Pease, love Goo

With those dazzling poster-boy looks, Ronan Keating became one of Europe's most endearing stars as the leader of the Irish boy band Boyzone. The five Irish lads in Boyzone, who made their debut in 1993, built their charismatic style into one of the biggest European pop/rock acts of the '90s. But before he was winning over the world, Keating was a middle-class kid living in Dublin. Born Ronan Patrick John Keating on March 3, 1977, he was the last of four children in the Keating household. His father,...
