Live in Liverpool

The Chords first hit liverpool in 1979, playing at the legendary Erics Club, fast forward 21 years and the boys are back in town. The original lineup are headlining a gig at the prestigious St Georges Hall in Liverpool, other bands on the bill include The Killermeters, The Circles and The Jamm. An afternoon show at the Cavern club saw Ed Ball & The Times play alongside the Circles (2 shows in 1 day) and Mark McGoudens 'Upper Fifth'.
This set catchs the band in good spirits and encompassed all the classic songs you'd want to hear the band play, my personal favourite 'I'm not sure' sounds as good as it did in 1979, the set closer 'Maybe Tomorrow' shows Pope & Hassett in great form.
All in all a great release which is rounded off by the 'Beatles inspired' sleeve (well it was liverpool after all!) designed by ace US graphic designer Keith Higginbotham.
Comes HIGHLY recommended.
