Hidden gem

This is Paul McCartney at his absolute best. The music is- obviously- stripped down but all that does is prove that genius songwriting does not need layers of distractions. This is a brilliantly balanced collections of McCartney's best solo and Beatles tracks combined with some fantastic covers (She's a woman and Aint no sunshine, in particular, are excellently converted into acoustic masterpieces)- the Beatles tracks are refreshingly unpredictable and will open casual McCartney/ Beatles fans to the brilliance of Blackbird, Junk and Here There and Everywhere. McCartney himself sings and plays impeccably whilst entertaining the audience in his inimitably witty style - it feels like you are right there with him. This album is a treat- one of the best unplugged albums out there- buy it now.
