The Bridge School Concerts - 25th Anniversary Edition

While just a sampling of all the great performances that have transpired in service to benefiting the Bridge School over the years, this 25-track collection features some chilling highlights. Bruce Springsteen taking “Born in the U.S.A.” down to its acoustic studs. Concert organizer and chief ally Neil Young with Crazy Horse energize “Love and Only Love.” Pearl Jam deliver a heartbreaking take of “Better Man.” Metallica embrace the acoustic challenge and still plays the aggressor throughout “Disposable Heroes.” Radiohead’s Thom Yorke takes on the ache and fragility of Neil Young’s “After the Gold Rush” with haunting grace. Jonathan Richman is joyful for “I Was Dancing In the Lesbian Bar.” The treats are everywhere. Young even joins his old cohorts, Crosby Stills and Nash for a bracing take of “Déjà Vu.” All proceeds from the sale of the individual tracks and the album featured on this page will be donated to the Bridge School, an innovative organization educating children with severe speech and physical impairments.
