Ireland's Greatest Ever Band - fact!

Derry’s finest burst onto the scene in 1978 with Teenage Kicks, 2 minutes 23 seconds of immaculate guitar pop that was famously John Peel’s favourite record of all time and has been covered - but never bettered - by everyone from Supergrass to KT Tunstall to Green Day. 12 singles and four cracking albums followed including Jimmy Jimmy, Here Comes The Summer, My Perfect Cousin and Wednesday Week that showcased a band prepared to take risks as punk morphed into new wave and on into electro pop and new romanticism. The Undertones – An Anthology contains 56 songs, all the hits plus 27 previously unreleased demos, live, session and rehearsal tracks.

Simply the Best

I saw The Undertones many times in my youth, no one matched them for pure entertainment value. Quite simply they were and still are the "Badgers Nadgers"! This album brings back all those fantastic memories. "And he flicked to kick and I didn't know"......."A teenage dreams so hard to beat"....."Any day of the week when Saturday Comes"......They don't write them like that anymore.
