Check out Expatriate

I love this band, so typical of the current indie music scene in Canada. I almost feel elitist and protective when I discover a 'new' band but both this and Talker by McLean must be shared with more people as they deserve their music to be heard by more. Brilliant and not a bad track on this EP but if you want more check out their new album Expatriate, which is stunning. The Coast are destined for great things...

Brothers Jordan Melchiorre (drums) and Luke Melchiorre (bass), along with Ian Fosbery (guitar/keyboards) and Benjamin Spurr (vocals/guitar), create the hypnotic melodies of the Coast. For a brief time, the band was known as the July 26th Movement and issued the Take a Walk Outside EP in 2004; however, the Toronto-based indie rock outfit opted to change some things around to form the Coast in 2005, borrowing the name from a song on Paul Simon's The Rhythm of the Saints album.
