Album Review

A startlingly unified and accomplished debut long-player from the Danish duo, with ambient-electro the primary compositional terrain. Although later work (such as the 1995 follow-up, Moonfunk) would mix styles even more freely, Kokotsu brings elements of hip-hop, techno, ambient, and electro-funk into close proximity, assembling dynamic, interesting, even danceable tracks admirable for their focus and consistency.
